ORDER PROCESSING AND SHIPPING
MATHESON's goal is to ship customer orders within the published lead times found on the product listing pages. We take great pride in our ability to achieve this goal for the vast majority of orders processed. If for some reason we are unable to meet this goal, we will notify you by email.
MATHESON reserves the right to refuse to accept any order. Our intent, of course, is to accept every order.
For any order over $100, standard economy ground parcel shipping is FREE within the continental United States (lower 48 states). Heavyweight shipments that must be transported via LTL carriers are excluded.
Standard, Two-day, or Overnight shipping may be chosen at the buyer's option. The delivery time estimates are based on when the item leaves the MATHESON facility (not on when the order is received). Please allow time for order processing, as noted above.
At this time, we can accept orders shipping to the United States and select countries (for our Specialty Gas Equipment products), though all international customers may request a quote. Shipments are via UPS or FedEx, and therefore we can ship to street addresses only (no PO Boxes).
Orders that are shipped to countries outside the United States may be subject to import taxes, customs tariffs, and fees levied by the destination country or the shipping company. These charges are the customer’s responsibility and will be billed by the delivery company. We have no control over these charges and are unable to estimate them. Tariffs and taxes are neither collected nor included in your price calculation at the time of your order; for an estimate of these fees, which vary by region, contact the customs office in your area. Purchases are shipped with the terms EXW (Ex Works).
The information below provides estimated transit time estimates for our standard Economy (Ground service) shipping method.
Specialty Gas Equipment Products
The map below uses Montgomeryville, PA as the origination point. Most of the Specialty Gas Equipment products are shipped from this location. Therefore this map is a good estimator of transit times for this group of products.
Welding and Cutting Products
MATHESON operates over 160 retail and product distribution centers from coast-to-coast. We have selected eight of these centers to serve as fulfillment centers for your online orders for this group of products. In order to minimize the transit time of the delivery of your orders, these eight centers are strategically located in the East, Midwest, South, and West regions of the country.
For most parts of the country, this means that standard economy ground shipments can be expected in three days or less. From time to time, not all products may be inventoried in all of the fulfillment centers, so in some cases, ground shipping may extend to four or five days.
Reminder: transit time estimates are based on when the item leaves the MATHESON facility, not on when the order is received - please allow additional time for order processing, as noted above.
Additionally, in some cases – such as for heavy items such as welding machines and large spools of cable – common carrier transportation is used (not FedEx or UPS), and delivery times may be different. For such items, MATHESON will contact the customer with shipment and delivery information.
Customers will receive an email when orders are shipped, notifying them of the carrier and tracking information.
You may return product within 30 days of delivery, whether shipped in error, purchased in error, or defective, by obtaining a MATHESON-supplied Return Authorization Number.
For products used in gas service (i.e, to control or measure compressed gases - such as flow meters, regulators, gas hose, valves, etc.), there may be some restrictions on what we can accept back. Also, good safety practice dictates that we require customers to complete a purge verification form for most products prior to authorizing a return. If the product has not been put into gas service, you may simply state that and return the form.

For product purchased in error, a 15% restocking charge is applied.
Custom or special ordered product is non-returnable.
If the returned product is found to be in acceptable condition, a refund will be issued. Allow up to 30 days after receipt of returned product for a refund to be issued.
