5356 Alloy (GTAW) (TIG)
Description:
Alloy 5356 is an all position, nonheat treatable TIG wire used to weld the 5XXX series alloys when 40,000 psi tensile strength is not a requirement.
Alloy 5356 is a very good allpurpose wire. It is the most widely used of all aluminum filler metals.
ABS certified. Conforms to SFA/AWS A5.10 R5356, ISO 18273 S AlMg5Cr(A).
Typical Application:
Welding of boat/ship structural frames, bicycle frames, formed truck panels, pressure vessels and automotive bumpers and supports.
