The 50A, 55A, and 61A Series Manual Packed-Stem Control Valves have been specifically designed for use with gases supplied in high pressure cylinders (3000 psig maximum). These valves function as metering valves and are rough controls for dispensing gas products from cylinders. They do not control pressure or back-pressure in a gas delivery system. If greater accuracy is required for the application, Matheson recommends the use of the appropriate regulator listed in the Regulator Section. The 50A/55A/61A Series Packed-Stem Manual Control Valve should be used with gases compatible with the valves’ materials of construction.
